The coin is made of 90% silver, and wasn’t really popular at the time. Of course, it was heavy and bulky and nobody wanted to carry them around in their pockets. The eagle was also considered to be ugly and unappealing. But today, the Morgan Dollar is the most coveted coin for all coin collectors.
